For more than 40 years, ARI has devoted its work to conducting research, and to disseminating the results of research, on the triggers of autism and on methods of diagnosing and treating autism. Expanding Horizons Preschool Expanding Horizons Preschool was developed in 1988 to run in conjunction with the autism program at Carmen B. Pingree School. The preschool is for neuro-typical children and it includes children who are enrolled in the Pingree School for autism.
